Golden Globe Glamour?

Hey All,

Well, I watched the Globes last night, and I have to say I was kind of disappointed with the lack-luster fashion choices of the night.  It was a sea of pale blush tones with some bright jewel tones thrown in - pretty, but nothing really wowed me.  So, no absolute favs this year, but here are my picks for honorable mention...  I'll try to be nice and won't even mention my picks for worst-dressed ;)

Kyra Sedgwick, in Emilio Pucci
I like the colour of her dress & find her contrasting jewelry refreshing.

Catherine Zeta-Jones, in Monique Lhuillier
I like the dress colour & the Spanish flare of her look
& thought it was less silly than some of the
ballgown dresses of the evening...
Scarlett Johansson, in Elie Saab
This was my fav of the pale pink gowns &
I thought her hair was interesting...
at least it didn't look prom-ish...

Anne Hathaway, in Armani Privé
My fav of the sequined dresses.  I like the low back
& long sleeves kind of Dynasty
but in a modern way, I think ;)
Jennifer Lopez, in Zuhair Murad
Not the most exciting thing J.Lo's ever worn,
but the sparkly poncho/capelet
strangely intrigues me.

Amy Adams, in Marchesa
I am not completely in love with this dress  but it's a great colour & the laser-cut detail is different.
Dianna Agron, in J. Mendel
I think she looks very sweet & old Hollywood.
The design has sort of an interesting peplum thing
going on- I just wish it was more interesting...

I do have a best-dressed men pick, however.  I thought Ryan Gosling's Ferragamo suit was very dashing...black velvet?  Yes please!  Jake Gyllenhaal looked very dapper in Burberry.  Good job, boys!  Also, I thought Edgar Ramirez was just adorable ;)

Hopefully the Oscars will make up for the lack of excitement at the Globes...I guess we shall have to wait and see, won't we?
